Location: Ontario, California

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Compensation: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Reports To: Department Lead / Department Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Print Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of EFI large-format printing equipment while ensuring exceptional print quality, production efficiency, and maximum equipment uptime.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, technically proficient, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operate EFI large-format printing equipment safely and efficiently to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and calibration of printing equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and print-quality issues.

Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.

Monitor color accuracy, image quality, and production consistency throughout print runs.

Load, unload, and safely handle large media rolls and printing materials.

Collaborate with Graphics, Production, and Shipping teams to ensure customer deadlines and production requirements are met.

Maintain accurate production records and promptly communicate equipment concerns or operational issues.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with workplace safety standards.

Recommend process improvements to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and print quality.

Follow all established safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating large-format digital printing equipment.

Experience operating EFI VUTEk printers strongly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair large-format printing equipment.

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.

Knowledge of color management systems, media handling, and print production processes.

Ability to interpret work orders and effectively prioritize multiple production tasks.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing positively to a team environment.

Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious work ethic.

Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

Frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.

Safely handle large rolls of media and finished products.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery and production equipment.
